CURRENTLY NOT TAKING BOOKINGS DUE TO COVID-19
From March 2019 I am offering English-speaking guided wild food walks around the stunning countryside of South Burgundy. These walks are seasonal in nature and limited in number. I can take group sizes of 4 to 10 people.
We will meet at my smallholding near the Loire river, where we will get to know each other and meet the animals. We will then head off, on foot, either across the meadows or straight to the forest, depending on the season. As we walk we will see a large number of wild ingredients which we will discuss, and you will learn about identifying, picking, and cooking with these foods. No doubt we will see a great deal of wildlife on the way!
We will make our way back to the smallholding where we will taste some samples of wild food and, for the non-drivers, perhaps a foraged tipple or two.
The days are not weather-dependent, so bring suitable clothing and footwear.
I am also available for bespoke walks. Do you want me to come to your location and show you what you can forage from your neighbourhood? Are you more interested in the cooking side, or the wild booze? Do you want a one-on-one day? Get in touch to discuss your needs.
Walk distances and difficulties vary and can be tailored to your needs. Follow the links for pricing and booking details.
